Women's College
The Women's College was jointly established by Tongji University and Shanghai Women's Association in July 2000. The College distinguishes itself by offering both undergraduate and graduate courses to women students inside a state key university. Wu Qidi, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Education is Honored Chairman of College Counsel.
The College aims at turning out high-level internationally oriented women professionals, including women entrepreneurs, women scientists and women managers. It is also intended in introducing modern science and technology, techniques and culture to women from all walks of life.
New concepts are adopted in the College to teaching objectives, curriculum design and teaching methods with the aim of tapping physical and psychological potentials of females. In accordance with women's features, the College will offer high-tech, modern and professionally independent education in music, dance, fine arts, gymnastics and social manners. The College will develop into a leading research centre on women studies.
The College offers two Bachelor degree Programs in Computer Science and Technology and Animation and one Master degree program in Public Administration. The college also offers scholarships to excellent students.
